I was shocked and saddened to see the Duckworth name appear again among the obituaries. Although I know quite a bit of time has passed, it doesn't seem long since I was meeting you all at your Dad's memorial. Although I'd known your Dad since I was 18 when we first worked together at Canada Life, I only met Sally and all of you, Leslie, Rick and Wayne on the above unhappy occasion. My thoughts are with you in your loss. most sincerely, Wendy

Dear Leslie, I was deeply saddened to learn of your mother's death. Reading her obituary brought back happy memories of when you and I were best friends in Grades 3 and 4 (1967/68). I always wish that we had kept in touch. Please know that I am thinking of you and your family. May it be a small comfort to know that I share your sorrow. With deepest sympathy, Alison Fraser

Dear Rick & Wayne, You both have been blessed with many happy family memories of your earliest years with your late father Eric and your blended family with Jim and Leslie for most of your life. May those memories surface to bring comfort as you again adjust to loss, this time the monumental loss of your beloved mother Sally, so caring as wife, grandmother, nurse and friend to many. We cherish those fun times in Willowdale, at Lightning Point & in Victoria. Our own health issues may prevent our attendance on Friday but know that our prayers are with the three of you, your spouses and children. And Judy, rest assured that God is caring for Sally; your deep love of your sister will heal your present heartache. Sincere sympathy from long time friends, Arlene & Chuck German, Muskoka

Dear Rick, Edith, Meredith and Robert, We are so deeply saddened by the loss of your beautiful mother and grandmother. Her gracious kindness and gentle nature touched everyone who knew her. My favourite memory is of her visit to Waterton Park with Jim in 1989 when she good-naturedly hiked up the long and steep trail to Bertha Lake with us, uncomplainingly asking every so often how many more switchbacks she might expect! She was so appreciative of the beauty of the mountains and the sense of accomplishment at the end of that day. Wayne, Leslie and families, our thoughts and hearts are with you as well. With love and deepest sympathy, Ruby-Jane, John, and Catherine Vancak (Rick's sister-in-law and family)

To Judy and Sally's immediate family, Eric and I would like to offer our sincere sympathy at this time of great loss. We only met Sally once and it was most evident how close Judy and Sally were and including Sally's immediate family. As Gerald's sister and brother-in-law we appreciate the sadness and great loss and wish we could be there to give you a big hug. Our sons David and Geoffrey and their wives Michele and Michelle and daughter Morgan send special thoughts and prayers to their Aunt Judy and Uncle Gerald. With sincere love Gwendolyn and Eric
