Norma Stobart

Obituary of Norma Stobart

NORMA STOBART With great sadness we announce the passing in Toronto on Thursday, October 3, 2013 of Norma Stobart aged 82. She was the loving mother of Nick, his wife Katharina and their two children Johann and Oliver. We are grateful to have had such a loving and generous presence in our lives. Norma devoted her life to the companionship and support of her husband Ian throughout his career and their global travel from the U.K. to Kenya and finally to Canada, where they finally settled and ultimately spent their well-deserved years of retirement. Together they went on many global travels to visit their son Nick and his family and through their various social activities never had a boring moment. Norma's work with St. Paul`s Church and the charitable activities of the Winchester Group will always be remembered. You will always be with us in our hearts and thoughts and our wonderful memories of you. You`ll be our guardian who will always have a protective hand over us. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Louisville Avenue) from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 8. A service will be held in the chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 9. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army, 2 Overlea Boulevard, Toronto, Ontario M4H 1P4 would be appreciated. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
