Obituary of Barbara Dibden

DIBDEN, Barbara Eden (nee Wilkins) Barbara passed away at Carefree Lodge, Toronto on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy illness. Barbara was born in Toronto on May 27, 1934, the daughter of the late Dr. Alexander Ralph and Dorothy Eden Wilkins (Walker). She has one brother, Peter Wilkins (Phyllis) of Peterborough. She was the beloved wife of C. William (Bill) Dibden of Toronto for 53 years. Barbara will be sadly missed by her four devoted children, Susan Henderson (Brant) of Calgary, Jennifer Graham (Stuart), Michael Dibden (Karen), and Carolyn Bearisto (Darryn), all of Toronto. Barbara was a proud and attentive grandmother to Brian Henderson, Mark and Tom Graham, Matthew and Meghan Dibden, and Lauren and Sarah Bearisto, all of whom deeply cherished their Gran. The family welcomes all friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, September 27th. The funeral service will take place at ST. JOHN'S YORK MILLS ANGLICAN CHURCH, 19 Don Ridge Drive, Toronto on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Barbara's memory be made to the Sunnybrook Foundation, designated in support of Dr. Sandra Black's Frontal Lobe Research.
