Obituary of Gertrude Ethel Brooks

BROOKS, Gertrude Ethel (Robbie) It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robbie Brooks on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, after a lengthy illness. She will be greatly missed by Ted, her husband of 65 years, her daughter Gail MacDonald and husband Craig, and her daughter Diane Reynolds and husband Allan. Loving and proud "Nan" to Christine, Jeffrey, Kevin, Kerri and Ashley. Great-grandnana to Alexandra and Riley. Mom was a strong, independent and affectionate woman, and will be missed by all who met and had the privilege to know her. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23. A memorial service will be held in NORTHLEA UNITED CHURCH, 125 Brentcliffe Road on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. If desired, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lupus Ontario, 301 - 2900 John Street, Markham L3R 5G3.
