Obituary of Marilyn Pinn
Marilyn Rose Pinn
We regretfully announce the passing of our beloved Marilyn Rose Pinn on Friday, August 9th, 2013. Marilyn was born in Pembroke, Ontario on February 19th, 1934. Marilyn met Bruno, the love of her life, while attending high school in Sudbury, Ontario. She and Bruno were married on August 31st, 1953. The couple settled in the Yonge and Eglinton neighbourhood of Toronto where they raised their two children, Ramona (Gerald) Gill and Bruce (Marilyn Flanagan). The devoted mother adored children and took great pleasure in her role as an assistant kindergarten teacher at Montrose Public School in Toronto for over ten years. Marilyn will be fondly remembered by Bruno, her husband of 60 years, her children and her five grandchildren, Shawn, Holly (Eric) Faulds, Scott, Caitlin and Samantha. Thank you to the staff at the Houses of Providence and Toronto East General Hospital for your care and support over these last few months. Special thanks to Jennifer Henry, Marilyn's friend, for being there when she was most needed. Marilyn was a terrific conversationalist with a sharp wit. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17th. If desired, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Toronto. Condolences and memories may be forwarded through www.humphreymiles.com.
