Obituary of Luella Massey

MASSEY, Luella Mildred (nee Yade) Born on April 8, 1953 in Arnprior, Ontario, died peacefully on Monday, July 15th, 2013, holding hands with her loving and devoted son Stephen Massey, her daughter-in-law Rebecca and her sister Zillah. Lou was the beloved wife of the late Gordon Massey and will be greatly missed by sister Zillah (Murray) Briscoe, niece Katie (Corey Gauthier) and great-niece Alexis, as well as close family Laura (Don) MacIntyre, Linda (Paul) Cunliffe and the boys, Eric, Dan and Matt (Roberta) Cunliffe. Lou will also be sadly missed by her friends and coworkers at the University of Toronto where she spent the past thirty-five years as a stage-manager, administrator and den mother. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, July 19. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Saturday, July 20 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Luella Massey be directed to Gilda's Club Greater Toronto or UofT Hart House.
