Obituary of Elizabeth Eleanore Seale

Elizabeth Eleanore (Betty) Seale Of Toronto, on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in her ninety-fifth year. Daughter of the late Gordon William Ennis and Rae J. Mitchell of Hamilton. Loved wife of the late John Gordon (Jack) Seale of Toronto. Survived by cousins Colin Thomson of Burlington, Ontario and Babs Armstrong of Seattle, Washington. Lovingly remembered by Goddaughter Lindsay Richards and dear friend Louise Jennings. Betty was a volunteer throughout her life, contributing tirelessly to the Governor General's Horse Guards Women's Auxiliary, the Elizabeth Fry Society, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Volunteer Committee of the Royal Ontario Museum, culminating in 2009, with a fifty year volunteer recognition from the ROM, of which she was extremely proud. Together, Betty and Jack enjoyed the warmth of many friendships, the love of their many "children", and a union of strength and character. A service of remembrance will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. A reception will follow. Private interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
