My heart goes out to George, Nick and David at this time. In my early years on Bernard I remember the Rosses (living beside eachother), Bev was even then an captivating child and later once we moved, Adrienne continued to have a wonderful relationship with Bev, Pointe au Baril Days, etc. I always remembered her laugh and love of life, her enthusiasm. Although I have been gone in Ireland for 14 years, I am sorry we never got together to share such similiar interests. She was always a star and now an angel. To the extended Ross and Guy family, my sincere condolences with the passing of Beverly. I consider myself fortunate to have treated Bev during her trials with her past conditions. I read the notice in the Globe and Mail and found the obituary to be so fitting in all of her mentioned attributes. I had some great personal conversations with her during our sessions and found her to be 'salt to the earth', not holding back and full of life, love and laughter. Regrettably, I will not be attending the service but will be present in spirit and heart.

June 24 2013 To: all the Ross and Guy families in memory of Bev My earliest memories of Bev go back to our teenage years when at every holiday time there were dances in parent’s homes for boys to meet girls and visa- versa. And the Ross family was part of this festivity at their home on Walmer Road. But at every dance Bev was one of a very few girls who made the boys feel at home and so very much fun to dance with. She was always bubbly, laughing, cheery and genuine in her conversation with even the shiest of us. It is a wonderful memory. Later on when we were all settled around Grace Church and participating in family services with our huge bundle of kids we experienced some magical years under Malcolm Evans and John Erb, filling the pews to capacity and creating cross denominational family services including Jamaican steel bands and folk music. Bev became the editor of her community creation the “Gargoyle” which was an outstanding fun news note monthly to the Parish about goings on, parish services and who was doing what in the Grace Church community. I was privileged to write for the Gargoyle especially on the Church/Business issues of the day and for a time we had Thursday night debates on current events as part of the Gargoyle program. Those were truly enriching years and the start of the great ERB/Guy collaboration and friendship. And then there was Jenny, such a wonderful Mother and Grandmother who spent her last days with George and Bev and who just loved all our family celebrations in which she was always included. We last saw Jenny in her bedroom at the Guy house a week before she departed with Bev giving caring love but more aware than any of us that the end was near. And so, good by Bev, after a life so well and fully lived and to you George may your memories sustain you through the saddened days ahead as you seek a path forward.
