Obituary of Mary Callaghan

CALLAGHAN, Mary Frances (née Davis) Mary slipped away peacefully on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at home with her family. Beloved wife of James Callaghan. Dear mother of Catherine and Robert. Sister-in-law to Maryane Thomson and Olga Davis. She will be fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews and their children, by her many dear friends and by the countless people whose lives she touched. Born in Montreal, Mary obtained her MSW from McGill University. She shared her wisdom, laughter and kindness freely and had a talent for making everyone around her feel special. Particular thanks to Dr. Brenda Chartier and Linda, Dr. Julietta Lee, Dr. Abraham Born, Dr. Sarah Ingber and the staff of North York General Hospital. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 16 and from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Monday, June 17. Funeral mass will be held in ST. BONAVENTURE'S CHURCH, 1300 Leslie Street, Toronto on Tuesday, June 18 at 10:30 a.m. A memorial mass will be held in ST. MONICA'S PARISH, 6405 de Terrebonne, Montreal, at a later date. Interment in Notre-Dame-Des-Neiges Cemetery, Montreal.
