Obituary of Dorothy Honeyford
HONEYFORD, Dorothy Beatrice (nee Seim)
Passed away suddenly but peacefully at home on Saturday, May 4th, 2013 in her 92nd year. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Richard (Dick) Honeyford (2010), loving step-mother to Louise (Paul) Turnbull, Maureen (Jeff) Kinnersly, and Jim (Liz) Honeyford. She will be sadly missed by her sister Betty Scholfield (the late Frank), niece Mary Hamilton (Dave) and great-nephews Ryan and Jeff Hamilton. Dear Aunt to Don Seim (Marilyn), Susan Booth (Malcolm) and Doug Hardy (Pat). Dorothy was a cherished Grandma to Lindsay, Rick, Erin, Alana, Laurel, Noel and Tyler. Dorothy is predeceased by her brothers Gordon, Ken, Maurice (Elva), sister Marjorie (George) and nephew John Scholfield. Dorothy was born in Bradford, Ontario in 1921 to Grace Florence Hunt and Otto Maurice Seim. She worked for many years at Imperial Oil before marrying Dick. Their 27 years of marriage were among her happiest years. Her friends and community at Leaside United Church where she was a faithful member for over 60 years will miss her terribly. Mourned by her family and friends, loved by all who met her and treasured by all who knew her. The family will receive friends at the LEASIDE UNITED CHURCH, 822 Millwood Road, Toronto on Wednesday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. for a Celebration of Life service.
