When I first met "Dodgy Doug", a well dressed man in Pereau around 1980 he seemed gruff and imposing at first sight. Within an hour he and I went off in the car to "get some lead pencil rubbings" off monument markers in the local cemetary. I learned alot about Doug in this hour and quickly found out that he was a very caring man who didn't just try something....he committed to it. I always asked Andy about you guys whenever we spoke and visited in Toronto whenever I could. I will miss his conversation and views. "The William"

Mrs. Currie, Brian and I would like to extend our deepest sympathy to you and your family. Although we didn't know your husband, your daughter Mary spoke highly of Douglas. You have been very fortunate to have had such a long relationship and your fond memories of Douglas will give you the strength to carry on. Brian and Doris Vawer
