Obituary of John Spargo

SPARGO, John Alden, P.EngAl passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 20th, 2008 at the age of 69 after a difficult battle with ALS. Loving husband to Lois, much loved father of Brian and David and beloved grandfather of Ella. Dear brother of Jerry, Joseph (pre-deceased) and Robert (pre-deceased). "Sparg" as he was known to family and friends had a love of life, enjoyed capturing his travels on film and puttering in the garden. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his kindness, generosity and good humour.At Al's request, there will be a private family service and cremation. Family members invite friends to join them in a remembrance of Al's life on Saturday, April 19th from 2-4 p.m. at McLean House, estates of Sunnybrook, 2075 Bayview Avenue. All who knew him are welcome. In lieu of floral tributes, the family requests that donations be made to the ALS Society of Ontario at www.alsont.ca.
