Dear Carolyn, Bob, Caitlin and Devon. I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Heather. She will be very much missed. Heather and I became pen-friends in 1993 and over the years exchanged many letters and emails. Over the past few months we've been having regular Facebook chats, which I really enjoyed - we'd chat about ordinary, everyday things such as what we were cooking for dinner and what we were watching on TV. Heather always took a great interest in my family and would send messages to my mum, a fellow Corrie fan. She would often mention her family too and she was obviously very proud of her nieces - and she always remembered my birthday because it's the same day as yours, Carolyn. I only met Heather twice, both occasions in 2000 - firstly when she visited us at our home in Newark, England, and a few weeks later, when Harry and I visited Toronto. I have very happy memories of those occasions, and of our correspondence over the years, and I'm really going to miss our online chats. My thoughts are with you all. Maureen Whitehouse, Scarborough, England.

Dear Carolyn,Bob,Caitlin & Devon: Our family wish to express our shock and condolence to you. Even though we have not been in touch personally for quite a time - I look back at the fun our families had at your home in Scarborough. We certainly enjoyed our visits with you, Heather, Aunt Dorothy and Uncle Tom. I prefer looking back at those times when we all enjoyed each other. I remember Heather as a bubbly- full of fun girl and you Carolyn the same. We had a great times with our cousins. I was always envious of your red hair. This must be a shock to all of you and our thoughts & prayers are with you now and the time coming. We are sorry we can not attend the funeral but do take care of yourselves and God Bless You-Love Liz
