Alexander McKillop
August 7th, 1922 - December 29th, 2012
Died peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital's K Wing. Sandy will be sadly missed by Kay (Catherine Kent) his loving wife for over 66 years, son David and daughter Nancy (Joe McCabe). Devoted "Papa" of grandchildren Marisa; Carolyn (Jay Warren), Jeffrey, Allison, and Martha. Also daughter-in-law, Melinda Barker and sister-in-law Joan Norton. He was a proud "Cabbagetown" graduate of Winchester Public School and then Jarvis Collegiate. After serving in WW11 Sandy went on to establish a successful career as a Chartered Accountant. He was posted with the RCAF in squadron 411. As a navigator on a Halifax, he survived 33 missions and a crash landing in England. He was a founding Director and Honourary Lifetime Board Member of the Renascent fellowship where he made many lifelong friends in the Organization, whom he both inspired and was inspired by. His great sense of humour and passion for family and the Fellowship earmarked his life. As an avid golfer at Summit and The Toronto Hunt, Sandy had several holes-in-one and shot his age at 74 years! The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013.
