I was saddened to hear the news. For many years I worked with 'Jimmy' at the Old City Hall when he was a Crown. I was very fortunate to work with him again at the Metro North Court on Finch Ave. when he was appointed to the bench. Jimmy always had a great sense of humor and a very keen mind. My thoughts are with you. Warm regards, Jill Fletcher (Burgess)

I am very saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Justice Jim Crossland, a very respected member of the Judiciary. As a young constable I sought guidance from then Asst. Crown Att. Jim Crossland on many an occasion he certainly kept me on the right track. I will always remember his quick wit, and cutting comments when necessary. God Speed Jim.

I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Crossland family on the loss of Jim, who when a Crown Attorney when I was a young police officer just starting out in my career provided guidance and assistance during that difficult learning period. In police parlance, he was " A good egg".
