Peter and I met at work in 1964 and he, Brenda, John and I quickly became good friends. The four of us frequently spent time together, apart from the office, and saw the sun come up many times. We went on Good Friday hikes, smelt fishing in Lake Ontario, and camping in Killarney Provincial Park, had many dinners together and, in general, hung out and enjoyed each other’s company. Unfortunately, that stopped when our family moved to Ottawa. After that time, we kept in touch mainly by phone and e-mail while Peter was still able to do so. Even though we were not able to get together very often in recent years, the friendship endured. Peter was a generous, caring, super intelligent person and we will always remember him with fondness. Due to the bad weather, we were unable to attend Peter’s funeral, but we were there in our thoughts. Our sincere condolences to all Peter’s family and friends and a special thank you to Tom, Jeff and Michael for being there for him for the past many years.
