MURIEL LISSON
(1914 - 2012)
Passed peacefully at North York Seniors Health Centre in Toronto, Ontario on Saturday, December 1, 2012, age 98. Predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald Robinson Lisson. Beloved mother of James Harris and daughter-in-law, Kathryn, of Toronto. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren David and his wife Emily Bailard of San Francisco, California and Karen (Kenworthy) and her husband Scott of New York, New York. Dear sister of Peggy Adams of Toronto and Dora Legge (deceased) and sister-in-law of Jean Chaplin of Ottawa, Ontario and Betty Corkran (deceased). Loving aunt to her nieces and nephew and their families. Born in Montreal, Quebec, she worked for several years for Bell Canada. At the end of World War II she travelled with the Blue Bell Bullets troop show to England and Europe where she met her husband Ron. She was married in Montreal in 1946 and over the decades that followed made a wonderful home for her family in Windsor, Oakville, Clarkson, Sarnia, Ottawa and most recently Toronto, Ontario. She loved and was devoted to her immediate and extended family. Throughout her life she enjoyed playing sports, card games and socializing with her many friends. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Eleen Willis and Muriel's other caregivers as well as the staff of the North York General Hospital and Seniors Health Centre. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (South of Davisville Avenue) from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5th, 2012. A memorial service will be held in the chapel at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 6th, 2012. A reception will follow at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Sussex, New Brunswick at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
