We have just heard of the death of Mrs. Lowrie. My mother regarded her as her best friend since the time of their university days. There was definitely a very warm regard between then on a deep level friendship. Even as family we had a connection with Mrs. Lowrie in that regard. As my mother struggled with Alzheimers we would bring her down for visits to her hometown where my brother Timothy and his wife Alison life and she would have a visit also with your mother and this was a highlight and an important part of my mother's memories. Toronto and Mrs. Lowrie were very closely tied. It is hard to lose memories and people, but when Christ died on a cross he secured these memories with his blood that such beauty in friendship and commitment over so many years would be written in his book to be opened up some day. We are very grateful for that and for your mother's legacy of friendship to my mother that endures and to us as a family. They kept in touch. So, with sadness we say goodbye and thanks. Matthew, Peter, Anthony, Timothy Hadwen

Dear Diana, We were so sad when you phoned with the shocking news of Joliann's death. I visited her the previous sunday brought her a capuchino which she enjoyed, she was in better spirits then the last time I had seen her. She was sitting staighter and said that she was having a reasonably good day. She was a dear, dear friend for so many years going back to the day we first met her when she had become engaged to David. She was so proud of her beautiful engagement ring, she was absolutely glowing, she looked so pretty... Over the years as our pathes kept crossing, we kept our friendship alive though we did not always live in the same parts of North America. We will miss her greatly. She was such a warm hearted friend, we have so many memories and photos of both David & herself. Please convey our deepest condolences to her whole family. We will attend the service at Humphreys on Tuesday. We will make a contribution to the Parkinson Society in her memory. Much Love, I`ren & Giacomo
