Obituary of Jeanette Strong
STRONG, Jeanette M. "Netta"
After many struggles with health issues, Netta decided it was time to "go home." And so she did, peacefully, at her home in Pickering, on Monday, November 19, 2012, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Arthur, her youngest daughter Tracy (MacLean), and her parents Matthew and Charlotte McBain. She leaves her beloved daughters Reisa (Thomas) McNabney and Janis (Steven) Heinbuch, who will forever remember their mother's strong will and never-ending fight for a well-lived life. She will be remembered by her son-in-law Michael MacLean; her loving grandchildren, Tara (Brent) Raymond and Dana McNabney, Travis and Trevor MacLean; and her great-granddaughters Mackenzie and Ashleigh Raymond. Netta is also survived by her sister Jean Hoag and brother Bob McBain, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME A.W. MILES CHAPEL LIMITED, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 22. A service to celebrate Netta's life will be held in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 23, followed by a reception in the Rosedale Room. Cremation will take place, after which she will be interred with Art and her parents in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
