Obituary of Shirley Dunn

DUNN, Shirley Passed away comfortably in her 90th year, with her family at her side. Loving wife of the late John Dunn. She will be greatly missed by daughter Joanne and son-in-law Mike Kaptein, daughter Susan Dunn and her partner Maggie Kolkena, and granddaughters Laura and Heather. Mrs. Dunn was compassionately cared for by many companions over the years: Nayid, Sheila, Bernita, Jean, Gladys, Laya and Ilda, as well as the staff at the Donway Place retirement residence. She very much appreciated her time with each of them. Her family and friends will remember Shirley for the passionate and determined way in which she took care of those close to her. A devoted volunteer at the North York General Hospital, she spent much of her life supporting and loving others. Many thanks to the wonderful people at the Toronto East General Hospital, and especially to Chaplain Gail Fox. Their support and care was greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) for the funeral service on Saturday, December 8th at 11:30 a.m. with a reception to follow in the Bayview Room.
