Marion Annie Lee (nee Mills)
Peacefully at home on Thursday, November 24, 2011 in her 95th year following a lengthy convalescence from a stroke. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Lloyd Lee, and by her sister Marjorie Sparling. Loving mother of Louise (Chris Cragg) and Lorna (Doug Upton). Special Grandma to Colin (Caroline), Cheryl (Jeremy) and Cameron Cragg, and David and Duane Upton. Great-grandma to Ethan and Oliver Cragg. She will be fondly remembered and sadly missed by many relatives and friends. She spent her life giving to others and never asking for anything in return. Marion grew up on Big Island in Prince Edward County. After high school and teachers college in Toronto, she met Lloyd while teaching in Greenbank. She spent the rest of her life in Leaside. She was a supporter of the UCW at Leaside United Church and the Greenbank Gamblers baseball club. The family wishes to express their deep gratitude to her caregivers, Rose, Mary and Jenny and to Dr. Lisa Ballinger who faithfully looked after her health and comfort over many years and enabled her to spend her last days at home. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18th. A Celebration of Life service will be held at LEASIDE UNITED CHURCH, 822 Millwood Road on Monday, December 19th at 11:30 a.m. with reception to follow. Family interment in Greenbank Cemetery.
