Mary Eleanor Rainville
1921-2012
After a lengthy illness, Mary Eleanor Rainville (nee Ryan) passed away at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital, Scarborough, on Sunday, November 4th at age 91. She was predeceased by Vince, her husband of 52 years. She is survived by her sister Kate Smith of Ottawa, her son Brian Rainville (June) of Waterloo, and daughter Maureen Cooling (Ed) of Toronto. She was a loving Grannie to Janelle Rainville and Kristen Gillett (Mark) and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Paige, plus many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by parents John and Emma Ryan, brothers Pat, Bill and Jerrold, and sister, Alice. Mary served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WW II in Canada and England. Mary was a 52-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion. "Thank You" to the staff at the Tony Stacey Home for Veterans' Care for their compassion and care over the past 10 years. Mary's family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday November 6th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (South of Davisville Avenue), Toronto. Interment will take place in North Bay.
