Obituary of Wiera Jez

JEZ, Vera November 21, 1923 - September 18, 2011 We are profoundly saddened by the unexpected loss of Vera Jez. She was mother to Lucien Jez (Susan Dalton) and Donna Jez (Terence Colgan), and grandmother to Olivia Dalton Jez (John Flett), William Colgan (Christine Bennett), and Jessica Colgan. Vera was predeceased by her loving husband Boleslaw (Bill) Jez in 1992. Vera and Bill immigrated to Canada following WWII with their young son. Shortly thereafter their daughter was born. In addition to raising their own family Bill and Vera sponsored the Canadian immigration of several friends and family over the following decades. Vera enjoyed a rich life and will be missed by family and friends. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Davisville Avenue) from 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. on Monday September 19th. The funeral service will be held in BLESSED SACRAMENT PARISH, 24 Cheritan Avenue on Tuesday, September 20th at 10:30 a.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
