Obituary of Jacqueline Kelly
Died peacefully after a long illness on November 11, 2007, at Briton House Retirement Residence in Toronto. Mother of Tim and Jane (Donald) and grandmother of Tim Jr., Charlie and Kate. Close friend to former husband Terry. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Nelida and sisters Annette, Alice, Gaby, and brother Pierre. Survived by sister Lucille, and brothers Jean, Will and Jacques. Born in Edmundston, N.B., on February 28, 1929, Jackie grew up in Ottawa and Fredericton where her father served as a federal Liberal cabinet minister under Prime Minister MacKenzie King and later as Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of New Brunswick. After attending university in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, she married in 1958 and moved to Oshawa where she lived until moving to Toronto two years ago. She enjoyed her summers at her beloved family cottage in Lac Baker, N.B. There will be a private funeral service.
