Dear Peter, I am unable to attend on friday but wanted to give you my condolences. I was so sorry to hear of Georgie's passing. Georgie hired me in 1971 a new immigrant from the U.K. who had only been in Canada a few weeks. I was Kate Harris in those days. I worked for Georgie in Status Review for 9 years before moving over to Group. I have to say that those were some of the happiest days of my life. Your Mom was a lady of integrity who held Manulife in very high esteem. She could be a hard task master but never asked anyone to do anything she would not do herself. She was very proud of all her "girls" when they left Status Review to move on to bigger and better positions within the Company. But most of all she was proud of you. The boy you were and the man you went on to be. We have a saying in Wales that fits you were "her 2 eyes" I know the last years have been very difficult but trust that now she is at peace and restored to the strong dignified woman that she was.
