Yielding on your love if i may
trying to keep my love at bay
Of all the things I'll do for you

Until the time you'll see me through

Deepest condolences to the family from Linda and myself. I had been informed that Roger had been ill, but had no details of the severity, and guessed that it was serious. His death came as a great shock to me. Roger and I shared many happy days together in Oxford, and later when he stayed with me in Runcorn, UK. Although we hadn't met for many years I still feel a great loss.

To Roger's family: I am saddened to hear the news today about my old friend from years past. I only knew Roger for about 18 months during the 80's, when we both worked at the Mississauga based biotechnology firm Allelix. During that time I knew Roger to be a very dry and witty person, as well as being a humble man. Like many others, I considered him as a friend. The world is a worse off place today. Please accept the condolences of the Smart family over your great loss.

I feel a great void at the loss of my beloved Uncle Roger. The only comfort I feel is in knowing that he is no longer suffering from pain and that he is looking down on all of us from heaven. Uncle Roger was there for me through thick and thin and I have many invaluable special memories of times he and I shared. He made great effort to be an exemplary role model to me and I will always remember the wise words he shared with me. I love you Uncle Roger, rest in peace.

Dear Milka, I was so sad to receive the bad news about Roger. I know that you have suffered since his disease was diagnosed and also know that you both were able to maintain your hopes and dignity through these difficult times. I always respected Roger and very much enjoyed my friendship with him from the time that we met at Allelix, through the time that he spent in Kincardine (I remember visiting him there and then again during the last few years with our common interest in biodiesel. We had a lot in common, from our technical and scientific backgrounds through our common challenges in parenting our young ones. I will miss Roger very much. We must console ourselves thinking that he is resting in peace. Will keep in touch. Michael Sills and Family
