Dear Elizabeth & Susan. I was saddened to learn of your mother's recent passing. I used to run into her walking down Bayview Avenue and she always had time to stop and say hello and chat for a moment or two. Occasionally, we would also see one another at one of the local restaurants. I can still hear her distinctive voice recommending something on the menu! Like so many others whose lives she touched, I consider myself fortunate to have made her acquaintance.

To all of Sheila's family: Today I went to Sunnybrook to do my usual Volunteer work and before leaving popped into the Palliative Care Unit to visit Sheila. I was so sad to learn that Sheila passed away on Wednesday. There are no words to describe one's feelings, but I know that having the family together at this time will be a great comfort to you all. I'm sure, also, that it was a great comfort to Sheila that you were all able to be here for her during the past couple of months. I will remember Sheila fondly from our osteo classes and will particularly remember the fabulous matching outfits she would work out in.
