Gord and I weren't best friends, but we were indeed genuine friends, (who could resist him?), and we saw each other at the occasional gathering... I always cherished those times when we got together. He had a laugh that was so true, heart felt and in a way 'unique'. Sharing a laugh was always easy and refreshing with Gord. Life seems to get busier and busier and time spent with friends unfortunately seems to come less frequent for me. I will undoubtedly miss Gord at future occasions where I would normally expect to see him, as will many others. Whether there is solace that Gord pulled through his recent illness and shared a few more laughs before his untimely death… it is difficult to comprehend/justify why his life was cut short. Regardless how you cope with this tragedy, you can be certain that Gord touched many hearts and minds.
