Dear Barbara Jean: I would like to express our sympathy to you and your family for the loss of your Dad. He was a very good friend to my mother and father for many years and we have fond memories of him. I will always remember the toast he made to me at our wedding and the many happy times my parents celebrated New Year's Eve with your Mom and Dad. Having lost my mother this past February, I understand your loss and my thoughts are with you at this very difficult time. Sincerely, Susan and Will Verbrugge

Dear Jean, My memories of George go back to university days when he and Murray were good friends, along with Murray Arscot and Bruce Bateman. Later too, when you and George lived in your beautiful home in Don Mills. Great memories, happy to have them now. Murray died in 1986 and I live with my daughter in the country. Regret not being with you last Saturday but was thinking about you. My deepest sympathy to you, Barbara Jean and all your family. Take care now. Love, Thelma.

My deepest condolences to Mr. Mann's family and friends; to Barb, David and the grandkids. I met Mr. Mann through his daughter Barb, my colleague at work. Mr. Mann had served for Canada during the second big war. He was an architect and served in senior positions in the Government of Ontario and made significant contributions to building Queens Park complex before retiring. He was caring, fair and kind. Again, my deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

You probably won't remember me, but I used to work for George at the Ministry of Government Services - I was his secretary for 13 years. He was always a proper gentleman, a very hard worker and a very dedicated Civil Servant. He certainly taught me some of the values of hard work - I'm still working for the Government! One of my fondest memories was when I finally convinced him to buy me a new typewriter...we wore the old one out. My thoughts and prayers are with you, Mrs. Mann and Barbara at this very sad time.
