Although I had not seen Lillian in many years as I had been living out of the country, I was terribly saddened to hear of her passing. Lillian was always one of the most charming and elegant persons I knew. She always exhibited a great sense of humour and was one of those that the term "lady" was created for. My condolences to her family.

What a wonderful gal Lillian was! My entire family was in love with this woman...and for good cause. She was a going concern at all times and full of laughter. We had many a great time together. She was an elegant and classy lady who was loved and admired by everyone who met her. Unfortunately,I was not able to attend her wake but was certainly there in spirit. My condolences to her family. She will be sorely missed by all those who had the good fortune to have known her.

I just wanted to express my thanks to Lillians family for the wonderful "celebration" of her life on Sat. I know she would have loved all the stories etc. She was such a great person and I am a better person for having known her. Our family loved her very much. She certainly was in a class of her own. Again thanks and please accept my condolences to all of you. Joan Heenan Murray

I was shocked to read about Lillian's passing. Lillian was a dear friend to my father Warren and was a great friend to his family....I loved to hear her laughter and she knew how to enjoy life. She was always the woman that I said would live forever with her vitality and warmth. Lillian stood by our father until the end so with a heavy heart, I am truly sorry for her passing....Thanks for the memories Lillian...

An era begins to quietly fade with Lillian's passing. How I remember her as an astonishingly elegant woman whose wonderful laugh -- as with all her sisters -- seemed to permeate a room, leaving the rest of us to happily wallow in her exuberance. As a child, there was nothing quite like all three Valachos sisters together at the same time -- theirs was a presence like no other; they just seemed FULL of spirit and opinion and energy that managed, each time, to fill the room. How I admired that. And envied it, too. How contagious! Today I think of Aunt Mary and her entire family past and present. Particular condolences extended, please, to Evelyn and all of the Valachos', Hawken's and Coulos' families. Gregg
