It was a very sad way to start the day, any day when someone with whom you have so much history has passed away. Always happens way too soon. We all would like to express our sympathy to the entire Racette family during this difficult time. We can only imagine what a loss this is to everyone in the family.

My heart felt condolences for the loss of Gilles. My daughter Maeghan is Kristen's room mate and has keep me posted since Thursday of this sad time. It is a terrible loss for everyone. Kristen loved her father very much and Maeghan told me how much she liked him. It means a great deal for Maeghan to share in your family's grieving as she feels a part of your family as an 'adoptee'. I feel that Kristen is like one of my daughter's and her grief saddens me. Maeghan had been a close friend with Kristen for about 10 years and room mates for 5 years so I have spent time with Kristen and heard her speak fondly of her father. My thoughts are with you wishing you comfort.
