Obituary of Daisy Marjorie Taylor
It is with great sorrow that we announce Mrs. Dee Taylor passed away peacefully Saturday, May 12, 2007 in Toronto. Dee was a loving mother, devoted wife, and a trusted friend to many. Dee had a very full and active life. As an RN she worked in different hospitals and provinces and enjoyed her profession as she was very compassionate. At that time she met her husband JC in Melfort, Sask.; they married and moved to Moose Jaw, where she continued nursing for a few years at the Union hospital. After nursing, Dee became very involved in local politics, the Coteau Range community college, the annual Music and Dance Festival, a bowling league and Hillcrest Country Club. Dee loved sports, especially golf and when she could no longer play, loved to watch it on television. She was a very talented woman, who could sew beautifully and always kept a wonderful garden. In her quiet time she was a voracious reader and master of crossword puzzles. After JC passed away, Dee soon moved to Toronto to be close with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed the big city and always commented on the abundance of trees which she loved. In spite of her health challenges she remained positive and never lost her sharp wit and sense of humor. Dee is survived by her three sisters, Marlene, Amy and Mona (Ken) who all have fond memories of their big sister, and were all able to visit her recently in Toronto. Also, her nephews Bevin (Vi) and Brian Liepert in Sask and her Aunt Amy in Winnipeg. Dee will be greatly missed by her daughter Kim, son-in-law George, and the entire Furtado family who loved and adored her.
