Obituary of Misako Yagi
MisakoYagi, 92, of Scarborough passed away Thursday, April 19, 2007 at the Markham Stouffville Hospital. Daughter of the late Sumi and Sakuji Kanegawa. Beloved wife of the late John SaburoYagi. Cherished sister of Shizuko, Sadako, Yoshiko, Stanley, Mary and Richard. Dear mother of Stan and his wife Nailin of Savoy, Illinois, Fred and his wife Elizabeth of Toronto and Susan and her husband Scott of Kitchener. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, Christopher, Michelle, Christina and many other family and friends. MisakoYagi, formerly of Chatham, Ontario, thoroughly enjoyed her independent life at the Momiji Senior Centre in Scarborough where, until recently, she was an active participant in the choir, morning exercises and Japanese embroidery (Bunka Shishu). The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 26. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 27 in the chapel with Rev. H. H. Aihara conducting the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Momiji Senior Centre, 3555 Kingston Road, Scarborough, Ontario M1M 3W4.
