Obituary of Peter Crossley Holdroyd

Peacefully, at home on Thursday, April 19, 2007, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his loving wife Molly (nee Olive Whitelaw Stedman). Survived by his brother Anthony (Kathy), and children Timothy (Judy), Christopher (Victoria) and Jennifer (Colin Brown). Sadly missed by grandchildren Devin, Alexander and Molly Brown and Oliver Holdroyd. Fondly remembered by Juliana Ramus and Taylor Carlisle. Peter was the son of the late Victor (Toss) Crossley Holdroyd and Hope McCormack. He was educated at Upper Canada College and Trinity College, U of T. He was president of Holdroyd Yarns Ltd. until joining Burns Brothers and Denton (later Nesbitt Burns). Peter was an avid golfer and enjoyed many years of great fun and comradeship at the Rosedale Golf Club. He will also be missed by his friends at the Caledon Mountain Trout Club and the Lyford Cay Club, Bahamas. A service of remembrance will be held in LAWRENCE PARK COMMUNITY CHURCH, 2180 Bayview Avenue, at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2007, with a reception to follow at the Rosedale Golf Club. The family expresses a special appreciation to the wonderful staff at Integracare and to Peter�s beloved housekeeper, Lina Santos.
