Obituary of Phyllis Oxley

Passed away at Toronto Western Hospital on March 11, 2007, in the 89th year of a life that took her from her birthplace of Toronto, to Grand-M�re, New York, Halifax, Saskatoon, Ottawa and back to Toronto for many years. Loving and devoted wife of 48 years to Major William Morrow Oxley (1915-1997), she will be deeply missed by her sons Philip and Bill, daughter-in-law Ann Botham, and grandsons Morrow, James, and Matthew, sister-in-law Peggy (Oxley) Clarke, Dr. Bill Clarke and her many nephews and nieces. She will be remembered as a tireless and expert volunteer with the Grenfell Labrador Medical Mission and the Toronto General Hospital Auxiliary, and later a much-loved neighbour at Lawton Park and Kensington Gardens. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East) from 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, March 14th. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 15th.
