Obituary of Anne Elspeth Allgood

In her 92nd year, Elsie died peacefully on March 8th to join Russ, her husband of 61 years. A gentle Irish lass with an easy laugh and open spirit, Elsie will be missed but remembered with love by David and Eleanor, her grandchildren, Brad, Kate, Molly and Jane Anne, her daughter-in-law Catherine. She contributed to her communities in Pointe Claire, Quebec and Toronto as a volunteer at local hospitals, St. John the Baptist school for children with special needs and the Women?s Auxiliary at the St. John the Baptist Anglican Church in Pointe Claire. We would like to thank all the wonderful staff at the Briton House for their care of Mom over the past 3 years. David and Eleanor wish to especially acknowledge the extraordinary care given by Joan Irwin who over the past few years became Mom?s friend as well as caregiver. A memorial service and Irish wake will be arranged at a later date in the spring to celebrate Elsie?s life.
