Obituary of Philip Laing Gilbert

Passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, March 07th, 2007 at St. Michael�s Hospital in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Wendy. Loving father of Philip (Jayne), Stephen (Mary) and the late John. Devoted grandfather of Caroline, Katie, Rachel, Geoffrey, Sienna and Claire. Brother of Joan, Humphrey (R.J.) and Daphne. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, March 9th. A private family service will be held. A celebration of Philip�s life will be held on Wednesday, April 11th from 5-8 p.m. at the Badminton and Raquet Club, 25 St. Clair Ave., West. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and support staff of the Palliative Care Unit at St. Michael�s Hospital. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
