Dear Mary and all of the Milne family, I wanted to give you my condolences personally after the funeral but I wasn't able to stay for the reception. I always enjoyed Bruce's visits to my office. He always asked about how I was doing, about my family and my hobbies, before we could get down to discussing his health concerns. I could tell that he genuinely was interested in my welfare. It was wonderful to hear so much more about him in the beautiful speeches that you all made. I consider myself very privileged to have known him. I wish you all peace of heart in this difficult time.
