He was recently inducted to Guelphs "Hall of Fame as a Builder. Bob enjoyed a successful career with Dow Chemical where he was a pioneer in their plastics division and later became manager of their Heavy Chemical Sales. In 1962, he started his business, Anco Chemicals Inc. Bob was well respected in the business community for his sound judgement and integrity. Bob has been interested in environmental issues long before this was a popular concept and he was one of the first to use wind and solar power at his beloved cottage in Pointe au Baril. He later became involved in medical waste disposal and more recently in biodegradable plastics. Bob was a loyal and supportive friend and mentor to many but above all else his loyalty and love for his family is what distinguishes him as a great man and father.
