To John & Peter, Our sincere sympathy on Gerda's passing. We have many wonderful memories of times with you all at Banbury and in Don Mills. We were always impressed with Gerda's concerned and caring nature and how close as a family you have been. It is sad to realize she is gone. Perhaps, though, given the difficulties of the last few years, it will now bring all three of you peace. I don't really find this email type message a very satisfactory expression of our regrets and we will try to communicate more personally when we get back to Toronto.
