My sister, Kathryn, and I were sorry to hear of Florence's passing. Florence and her family (Tessie) were very special to our late mother, Mary Rose Wilson (nee Mooney). Our mother spoke often about 'The Heffernan's': Florence, Tessie and siblings, who were 3rd cousins, and a wonderful second family to my mother, growing up in 1920's and 1930's Toronto. I met Florence a couple of times; she was a special lady. Both Kathy and I were sorry that we could not make it to the funeral Mass.
