Obituary of Edythe Maude Holmes
HOLMES, Edythe Maude (nee Kennard)
After an extended illness, peacefully on December 6, 2006 in Toronto, two weeks short of her 95th birthday. Devoted wife of 66 years of Allan of Toronto (Leaside), mother of Bev (Peter) of Ajax and Steve (Madeline) of Markham, grandmother of Kevin (Lee) of Dwight and Craig of Tottenham, and great grandmother of Edythe (Edie) of Dwight. Edythe was predeceased by her sister Mildred Worthington of Toronto.
A longtime resident of Leaside, Edythe was a member of Leaside United Church and the Leaside Curling Club. Her family and friends were the focus of her life; her cheerful and positive nature was an inspiration to all.

The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, December 8. A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, December 9th at 11 o�clock in LEASIDE UNITED CHURCH, 822 Millwood Road, Toronto, followed by a Reception in the Conservatory, Leaside Gate, 955 Millwood Road, Toronto.
