Obituary of Rose O'Neill

O�NEILL, Rose It is with great sadness that the family of Rose O�Neill announces her passing on Sunday, December 3, 2006. Born Rose Merkt on July 3, 1952 in Kornwestheim, Germany, she spent her adult years in Toronto building a successful career in the cosmetic and retail industries. Rose is survived by her beloved daughter Courtney and her caring husband Barry Head. She will be lovingly remembered by her mother Lotte and her brothers Erwin, Frank (Melanie) and Siegfried (Mary-Jane) and by her eight nieces and nephews. Her many friends knew Rose as a person who was larger than life. She loved music, the opera and sharing her home and culinary skills with her family and friends. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2006. Funeral service in the chapel on Friday, December 8, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
