Obituary of Gordon Stark Fennell

FENNELL, Gordon Stark Died on Sunday, November 19, 2006. Beloved husband of Margaret and father of William (May). Born in Brantford, Ontario in 1918. Predeceased by his wives Ruth Packenham (1952) and Doris Pauline Campbell (1990), and by his brothers John, George and Charles. His death is grieved by his brothers and sisters, William (Jean), James (Betty), June Birkett, Francis (William) Boyd, Ruth (Sandy) Webster, and many nieces and nephews. Gordon was the loving stepfather of Margaret�s children, Janet, Nancy, and Eleanor, and loved grandfather of her seven grandchildren. Gordon graduated from UWO in 1939 Honour Maths and Physics and later, Teachers College. After teaching a few years, he went overseas with the Canadian Fire Fighters in Great Britain. While there he transferred to the RCAF. Returning to Canada, he taught mathematics in Etobicoke high schools for many years. He was active in his church and enjoyed traveling.
