Obituary of Peter W. Menzel

MENZEL, Peter W. Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 15th, 2006. Peter is survived by his wife Ursula; daughters Andrea Menzel, Cornelia Amicabile (Uwe Echtermann) and Petra Hinke (Uwe Fricke); grandchildren Daisy, Corrado and Juri; sisters Gabriele Rappenecker (John) and Steffi Stewart (Ted), as well as numerous nieces and nephews throughout North America and Europe. Born and educated in Germany, Peter arrived in Canada over fifty years ago and made this country his home. He was a sailor and world traveller, wildlife enthusiast and dedicated businessman. Known to all as a generous friend, always a gentleman and a true helmsman, both on board EKU 111, as well as, for his family and company. He will be greatly missed by us all. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Saturday, November 18th and from 1-3 & 5-7 p.m. Sunday, November 19th.
