I ran Adams Brands and Ian was Wrigleys. We became solid acquaintences. He was respected and admired as a smart, honorable, trustworthy gentleman
always friendly even though a tough competitor.
A wonderful reputation. He will be missed.

I only knew Ian for the last few years as a golf partner, but very much enjoyed his company. He was a great mentor and always had a great story to tell. My deepest sympathies to his family. He will be greatly missed.

Dear Norma and Family, Please accept my condolences on Ian's passing. Before moving to Victoria six months ago I had the pleasure of getting to know Ian through our weekly meetings of the informal "Friday Luncheon Club" at the National Yacht Club. He was a cheerful and well informed conversationalist who will be sorely missed by that group. As another octogenarian I greatly admired his courage in continuing to cycle through Toronto's unruly traffic. Sorry I cannot attend the service.
