Patti, Cass, Matthew and Family: I'm thinking of you all so much right now. Please accept my sincere sympathies. I've lost a great boss, colleague and friend. I knew Michael for 9 years, and learned a lot from him. He instilled in me a true sense of "family first". So today, and in the future, my thoughts are with you: the family he loved so much.

Michael, my friend: Words cannot express the great debt that we in CCFC, and all sufferers of Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, owe you. I have such fond memories of, and great admiration for, the way you jumped into the job as Executive Director and helped us get back on track ... and then go on to new heights. I loved working with you Michael, we were of one mind. You couldn't have been more devoted to my cause, our cause, than if you had suffered from these dreaded diseases yourself. Rest in the knowledge, Michael, that your CCFC family will always be grateful and never forget the huge contribution you made to the success of our Foundation. When the day comes that we Find The Cure it will be to a large extent because of your commitment to our Mission. Go in Peace my friend. Your mark on earth has been made, your time well spent ... your job done. Thank you. To Patti, Michael's sons and your families, my deepest sympathies. To the Howorth Family, I met Michael several years ago while attending a conference with the CCFC as a volunteer from Newfoundland. Michael made a remarkable impression on me and in a short period of time had my highest respect. He has influenced me by his dedication, leadership, ethics and friendliness...and I am thankful to have met him. I wish to send my sincere condolences to you all at this time. Michael's legacy will live on.
