Obituary of Hazel Elizabeth Watters

WATTERS, Hazel Elizabeth "Betty� Passed away peacefully at The Beverley Centre, Midnapore in Calgary on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the age of 86. Betty was predeceased by her first husband Captain Gordon Voelker "Pete� Kuehner, USAF, missing in action, Korea and by her second husband James S. "Hamish� Watters on May 4, 2006. Betty was a dearly loved and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. She is survived by her son Richard Kuehner (Randi), granddaughter Jennifer Kuehner-Benesh (Scott), grandson Stephen Kuehner (Melissa) and great grandchildren Kindred, Mason, Mackenzie and Alivia. She also leaves behind her closest and life long friend June McLean and her dear cousin Joan Clarke. Betty was born in Windsor, Ontario on July 13, 1920. She attended Whitney school and Jarvis Collegiate in Toronto. Betty was an elegant lady, an avid and accomplished bridge player and had a unique sense of humour. She always referred to the number "13� as her lucky number. She will be missed by her family, friends and acquaintances. The funeral service will be held at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), on Friday, November 3rd at 11 o�clock. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service. Interment Mount Pleasant Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Betty may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), 1929 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M4G 3E8.
