Obituary of Beverly Zurbrigg
Beverly Zurbrigg (nee Cusack)
February 23, 1919 - October 29, 2006
It is with great sadness that we must announce the death of Beverly Zurbrigg. Predeceased by her beloved husband Morley, of forty-five years. Beverly will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her daughters Ann and Barbara, sons-in-law John and Paul, grandchildren Lindsay and Evan, and other family members. Beverlys memory will also be cherished by her many friends, especially those from the Scat Club and the many volunteers she worked with at St. Johns Rehab Hospital.
While her death comes at the end of a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer and other related illnesses, it is the joy in her life that should be cherished and remembered. She was a loving and devoted wife, a kind and caring mother, a giving and cherished grandmother, and a true and compassionate friend. Until her illness, Beverly was active and, throughout her life, she had many interests, which included travel, card playing, sewing, crafting and volunteer work, but her greatest love was for family and friends.
A special thank you to all the compassionate caregivers who brought a special comfort to Beverlys life in her final months and to Margaret Moyles, whose unwavering friendship was cherished beyond measure.
The family will receive friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 5th. A memorial service will be held the following day on Monday in the chapel at 11 oclock. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beverlys memory may be made to the St. Johns Rehab Hospital, 285 Cummer Avenue, Toronto, ON M2M 2G1.
