Obituary of Arthur Douglas Mitchell

MITCHELL, Arthur Douglas It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Arthur Douglas Mitchell on the evening of Sunday, September 24, 2006. Art was born in Toronto on November 15, 1927. He will be greatly missed by his devoted and loving wife of 57 years, Pauline Mitchell. Also devastated by his passing are his two adoring daughters Julia Mitchell of Toronto and Victoria Brower and her husband Jerry of Venice, Florida. He is deeply mourned by his beloved granddaughters, Julia and Courtney Brower and his grandson Alexander Mitchell. To know Art was to love him. A finer man there could not be. Arthur had great integrity, and was always a gentleman with an amazing sense of humor and a kind heart. Art retired after a long and successful career at Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Art�s greatest and proudest moments were spent with his family and great friends in Toronto, Balsam Lake and Florida. The family will receive friends at the HUMPHREY FUNERAL HOME - A.W. MILES CHAPEL, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, September 28th. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, September 29th at 11 o�clock. A graveside service will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
